FUMCHYouth
Welcome to the website of First United Methodist Church of Heath Youth (FUMCHY). This website is being updated so that it will be more useful for the youth, parents, volunteers, and anyone interested in our youth program. I am happy to say that our youth group is very active and continues to grow, not only in number but in relationship with our savior, Jesus Christ, and with one another. The youth group at FUMCH is an accepting group of young people who share a love for and an interest in learning more about God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We just finished a series about a youth mission team that smuggled Bibles into Vietnam, for Christianity is illegal in Vietnam. It was a very powerful and inspiring testimony. Our present curiculum is about Claiming the Life. The Jr. High will be studying the Journey and the Sr. High will be studying the Promises of Christ.
Mission
Even though our bible studies are fun, we also are involved with mission. Events the youth have participated in include Yam Jam, Mission Trips to Juarez, Mexico and The Appalachian region of the U.S. This year we will be going to Woodland Park, Colorado from July 23-30.
Outings
It's not all work for the youth!! They enjoy retreats, sporting events, bowling, whirlyball, broomball, movies, paintball and many other exciting and fun activities.
UMYF
The Youth usually meet each Sunday evening with the Jr. High Bible Study from 5-7 and Sr. High Bible from 6-8. At 6, there is combined dinner, follwed by a FUN activity at 6:30! From time to time our Sunday event will be a fun outing and the schedule will change.
